After computing finances, checking the system progress, checking the quality of clients, my communication/relationship with clients, and checking the quality of my work for the year of 2023. Ito ang mga natutunan ko na pwede ko ishare sa inyo. 👇🏻
Finances:
You don't need to be so expensive or magbaba ng sobrang baba na rate to grow your earnings at kung ang habol mo lang for now is sustainability. You just need a fair price at maging intentional sa ginagastos mo sa business. At aminado ako na I need improvement sa paghandle ng expenses at iwasan ang impulsive decision making. Ako narin nagsasabi di mo kelangan ng 200 bookings in a year para maging sustainable, nagawa ko siya sa 73 clients tapos may mga repeat clients pa ako jan for sure kaya mo rin yan.
System:
Ito malaki naging improvement ko yung magkaroon ng system in place. Sobrang laking tulong nito sakin mapadali ang buhay ko at buhay ng mga nag-inquire. It is so organized na tipong ilang beses pa ako nakatanggap ng good feedback sa mga clients.
Saka nasasala talaga yung hindi mo target market. Kaya aralin nyo rin yung better system na tingin nyo mag-work sa inyo. Kasi kung gagayahin nyo yung sakin tapos di pala ubra sa business mo magsasayang ka lang ng pagod.
Communication and Relationship:
Malaki din naging improvement ko dito, kasi noong 2022 ang mindset ko is basta magkaroon ng pumapasok na client okay na kahit hindi bumalik. Year 2023 ako nag start mag-aral how to build professional relationship with clients and apply it sa BKS. Sa ganitong way ako nagkakaroon ng solid portfolio, genuine feedback, and literal na gumagana ang overall marketing strategy without paying ads.
Repeat clients ang pwede bumuhay sa business mo. Iwasan mo ang mga "me, me, me" na sagot sa client, mag-isip ka paano mo matutulungan yung mga clients mo makita yung value mo without hard selling.
Quality of work:
Hindi lang ito tungkol sa progress mo ng technical skills kundi sa overall workflow mo. Once pumasok ang client sa studio, I am in the zone and nag iisip na ako how to make this client become part of my list ng loyal clients. Pero syempre hindi lahat ma-please mo and that's okay. I can definitely say na from an introvert malaki ng naging improvement ko dito. Makikita naman yan sa mga feedback ng clients ko, di ko need na magbuhat ng bangko para bigyan kayo ng proof. 😅
Continuous learning and improvement kahit sa maliliit na bagay lang ay napakahalagang part ng 2023 ko sa pag-handle ng BKS. I still have room for improvement and be more intentional when it comes to finances.

Lahat ngayon ay matumal. Kahit barbershop matumal. Sabi nga ni Sue Bryce do something about it and be accountable, if you need an extra source of income then get a job but never quit. Hindi tayo pwede maging delusional ngayon. Lahat ng bilihin tumataas, yung price ng gear tumataas, yung mga kelangan sa studio dumadami. Then, hindi ka makapagtaas ng rate kasi nasa location ka na hindi nasa high income and lahat ng nasa paligid mo pinapababa ang quality at price ng work. I'm not going to quit kasi may business papers na ko need ko na panindigan at tapusin.. inumpisahan ko na eh.
At ayoko masira name ko sa bank. Hindi ako papayag na magalaw ang savings ng BKS at magpauto sa bank na I need them. Akala nyo kaya kayo kinukulit mag loan ng mga yan to help you? Gagi lalo kayo ilulugmok nyan. Kikita sila eh.
Tapos mapipilitan ka ibaba rates mo sa studio, papa mini session ka para maghabol ng ibabayad sa lahat ng bills/business expenses mo? I'm not going to do that, kasi maapektuhan quality ng work ko at I'm gonna attract low value clients.
So, I'm activating my Upwork and all my freelancing account and use my digital marketing skills na ulit while managing BKS and taking care of my body to get pregnant.
I love what I do and I'm sharing this with you kahit walang nagtatanong kasi gusto ko malaman nyo ang reality instead of faking it till you make it.
Alam ng mga dati ko na naging friends here, how I started from scratch, all the failures and success na dinaanan ko, at syempre Marites posts to entertain fellow togs. 😅 Alam nyo yan kahit sa old account pa sinabi ko na I'm gonna share this journey to all. Nasa inyo na kung magiging inspiration or hindi.
I'm not gonna post na quitting or isasara studio. Actually, open lang yang studio kasi yan nagpapasaya sakin. Pero gagawan ko lang paraan to sustain it kasi first baby ko ang BKS tapos second baby ko yung podcast. Ayoko lang maging part ng delusional bubble. Lalaban lang tayo ng patas. 😊
