𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐖 𝐍𝐆 𝐊𝐀𝐒𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐋𝐀𝐍 | Hindi Pagtitiis, Kundi Paghamon sa Sistemang Nagpapahirap

Madalas nating isalaysay ang kasarinlan sa wika ng katatagan. Pinupuri natin ang mamamayang patuloy na tumatayo sa gitna ng unos, pagkawasak, at pagkakait. Subalit may panganib sa walang humpay na pagdakila sa pagtitiis: nagiging karaniwan ang pag-asa sa lakas ng loob ng taumbayan habang nananatiling hindi napapanagot ang mga institusyong may tungkuling mangalaga. Sapagkat ang isang sambayanan ay hindi ganap na malaya kung ang pangunahing sandigan nito sa panahon ng kagipitan ay ang kakayahan lamang nitong magtiis.

Sa paggunita ng Araw ng Kasarinlan, nawa’y hindi lamang maging sagisag ng katapangan ang watawat kundi paalala ng ating karapatang marinig, kilalanin, at kalingain. Sapagkat ang tunay na kalayaan ay hindi nasusukat sa dami ng pagguho na ating nalampasan, kundi sa katiyakang walang pamayanan ang pinababayaang mag-isang bumangon mula sa mga guho ng pagdurusa.

In solidarity with the Taliba and other communities affected by the devastating 7.8-magnitude earthquake that struck Mindanao on June 8, 2026, the different departments of the College of Social Sciences and Humanities (CSSH) are leading a donation drive to provide much-needed assistance and support to those impacted by the disaster. As families begin the difficult journey toward recovery, every donation, shared resource, and act of kindness can make a meaningful difference. We encourage everyone to extend a helping hand and stand with our fellow Mindanaoans, for in times of adversity, our collective compassion and unity become the foundation of what makes us a taliba.
