𝐹𝑖𝑟𝑠𝑡 𝑑𝑎𝑦 𝑑𝑜𝑛𝑒! 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑚𝑦 ℎ𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑡 𝑖𝑠 𝑠𝑜 𝑓𝑢𝑙𝑙 𝑎𝑙𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑑𝑦 𝑛𝑎 𝑎𝑔𝑎𝑑.

—𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 was loud in the best way, from the “𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴” greetings that echoed in the hallway, to the chaotic “𝘄𝗮𝗶𝘁, 𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶 𝘁𝗮𝘆𝗼 𝘂𝗽𝘂𝗮𝗻" to the constant “𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗮𝘆𝗼 𝗴𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗻𝗮𝗸𝗼 𝗲𝗵” running across the school. 🏫

I walked through the same gates, but everything felt new. New faces with nervous smiles. New subjects on my schedule. New teachers to learn from. Yet the feeling was familiar: that mix of kaba, excitement, and hope that only a first day can bring!

I saw old friends and we picked up right where we left off. I met new classmates and wondered which of them would become core memories. I survived the first-day struggles, the 5 AM alarm, and the “uy wala pakong uniform” panic.

And somewhere between the flag ceremony and the last subject, I remembered why I love being a Josenian. It’s the community. It’s the shared struggle. It’s the dream we’re all chasing, one lesson at a time.

𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘋𝘢𝘺 1 𝘰𝘧 200+ 𝘥𝘢𝘺𝘴. If today was this overwhelming and beautiful already, I can’t imagine what the rest of the year holds.

To grow, to grit, to God, and to good memories — we’re just getting started.

𝑻𝒐𝒅𝒂𝒚, We stood with our hand over out heart and took an oath — not just of 𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒍𝒆, but of 𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒆.

𝑇ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑚𝑜𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡 𝑖𝑠 𝑚𝑜𝑟𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑛 𝑎 𝑐𝑒𝑟𝑒𝑚𝑜𝑛𝑦. It’s a promise to every 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐧 who believed, to every voice that deserves to be heard, and to every dream we want to build for our school.

𝐼 𝑘𝑛𝑜𝑤 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑟𝑜𝑎𝑑 𝑎ℎ𝑒𝑎𝑑 𝑤𝑜𝑛’𝑡 𝑏𝑒 𝑒𝑎𝑠𝑦. There will be challenges, sleepless nights, and tough decisions. But I also know I’m not walking this path alone. I stand with my fellow student leaders, with the guidance of our advisers, and with the trust you’ve given us.

𝐓𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐒𝐋𝐆, thank you for this opportunity to lead and learn. To my fellow Josenians, this oath is for you all. WE vow to serve with integrity, to listen with an open mind, and to act with a genuine heart.
