ISU Librarians Benchmark Excellence at CHMSU in Post-Congress Trip

The librarians from the Isabela State University (ISU) System capped off their attendance at the national congress with a productive benchmarking visit to Carlos Hilado Memorial State University (CHMSU), Talisay Main Campus, on November 26, 2025.

Following their participation in the prestigious Philippine Librarians Association, Inc. (PLAI) National Congress 2025 held in nearby Bacolod City from November 23-26, the ISU delegation seized the opportunity for an academic side trip. The visit was strategically scheduled on the last day of the congress to maximize their time in the region.

The primary objective of the benchmarking activity was to observe and learn from the best practices implemented by the CHMSU Library System, particularly in areas like library automation, resource management, and innovative user services. CHMSU, known for its commitment to quality and institutional excellence, was an ideal host for the ISU system's delegation, which represents ten campuses across Isabela province.

Join us for the Opening of 𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗕𝗨 𝗬𝗢𝗚𝗔𝗗: 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝘅𝗵𝗶𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 — a colorful and immersive showcase of Yogad traditions, artistry, and ancestral stories — happening on December 03, 2025 at 8:30 AM in the University Library. The exhibition will run until December 17, 2025.

Experience cultural displays, traditional artifacts, indigenous craftsmanship, and meaningful presentations that highlight the richness of Yogad identity. Proudly organized by the Bachelor of Library and Information Science – Third Year students, this exhibition brings culture, heritage, and learning together in one inspiring celebration.
