Under the leadership of our esteemed Provincial Fire Marshal, the Father of SWIFT, ๐๐ฆ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฃ๐ง ๐๐ ๐๐ก๐๐ข ๐ ๐๐๐๐ฉ๐๐๐ข ๐๐ฅ, ๐๐ฆ๐, women firefighters in the province of Bataan continue to prove that courage knows no gender! ๐ช
The recently concluded Specialized Women Intensified Firefighters Training (SWIFT) Batch 2, held at the 1Bataan Command Center, Brgy Doรฑa, Orani, Bataan, focused on enhancing the strength, skills, and leadership of our empowered female firefighters of BFP Bataan.
Our heatfelt gratitude to the Provincial Governor of Bataan, Hon. Jose Enrique S. Garcia III, for the unwavering support to BFP Bataan, to Ms. Rowena S. Santos, OIC-PDRRMO Bataan, whose support and efforts in paving the way to financially assist this training, to our BFP R3 Regional Director, FCSUPT MANUEL G GOLINO, DSC whose steadfast support for this initiative inspires us all, and to all City and Municipal Fire Marshals of Bataan for their relentless commitment to BFP Bataan activities.

In line with the recent earthquakes happening, here are some safety tips before, during, and after the disaster. A reminder from Balanga City Fire Station. Keep safe everyone!
Before an Earthquake
Prepare an emergency kit: Include water, food, flashlight, first-aid supplies, and medications for at least 72 hours.
Secure your home: Bolt heavy furniture and appliances to walls; store breakable items on lower shelves.
Make a family plan: Identify safe spots in each room and an out-of-area contact for communication.
Know your risks: Familiarize yourself with local evacuation routes and participate in drills.
During an Earthquake
Drop, Cover, and Hold On: Get under a sturdy table or desk, cover your head and neck, and hold on until shaking stops.
If outdoors: Move to an open area away from buildings, power lines, and trees.
If driving: Pull over safely, stay in the vehicle, and avoid bridges or overpasses.
If in bed: Stay there, protect your head with a pillow.
After an Earthquake
Check for injuries: Provide first aid if needed and call emergency services for serious issues.
Inspect for hazards: Look for gas leaks, fires, or structural damage; evacuate if unsafe.
Call local authorities: Report any damage, hazards, or emergencies to help coordinate response efforts.
Expect aftershocks: Avoid re-entering damaged buildings and stay alert for several days.
Tune in: Listen to radio or official sources for updates on utilities, roads, and shelter.
