🐾 Is your dog straining to go? It might be more than just a stubborn potty break. 🐾
Let’s talk about something uncomfortable but incredibly common: Bladder Stones in Dogs. 🐶💔

Just like humans get kidney stones, our furry best friends can develop rock-like formations in their bladders. They can range from the size of a grain of sand to a literal golf ball! 😱
Because our pups can't tell us when they're hurting, it’s up to us to spot the signs.

🔍 Red Flags to Watch For:
Straining or crying while trying to urinate.
Frequent attempts to go with very little output.
Blood in the urine (discolored or pinkish p*e).
Licking the urinary opening constantly.

🚫 Why Do They Get Them?
Stones usually form due to a combination of:

Diet & Minerals: Too much of certain minerals in their food.

Low Water Intake: Concentrated urine makes it easier for crystals to clump together.

Bladder Infections: Bacteria can change the bladder's pH, triggering stone growth.

Genetics: Some breeds (like Dalmatians, Schnauzers, Shih Tzus, and Bulldogs) are more prone to them.

💡 What Should You Do?
If you notice any of these signs, skip the Google search and call your vet right away. 🩺
Bladder stones are not only incredibly painful, but they can also cause a life-threatening urinary blockage (especially in male dogs). Your vet can easily diagnose them with an X-ray or ultrasound and get your pup back to feeling their best!

✨ Pro-Tip for Prevention: Always ensure your dog has access to fresh, clean water, and ask your vet if a specific diet is right for your breed!
