1. Ang TLD mas paspas makapa ubos sa Viral Load (VL) sulod sa 3-6 months nga pag inum kung ikumpara sa ubang ARV.

2. Ang TLD mas lig-on ug taas ang tsansa nga dili mag drug resistant kumpara sa ubang tambal, inubanan sa saktong pag tumar sa tambal.

3. Ang TLD mas gamay ug mas sayon inumon kausa sa isa ka adlaw kumpara sa ubang ARV.

5. Ang TLD adunay gamay nga side effects nga mabati ug mas gamay ang mga drug interactions sa mga common nga mga tambal.

🌟 Update on HIV Treatment: Why switch medications?

According to DOH Dept. Circular No. 2024-0340, there's a full transition from Efavirenz-based (EFV) to Dolutegravir-based (DTG) ARV treatment.

1️⃣ DTG reduces Viral Load faster in 3-6 months compared to other ARVs.
2️⃣ It's less likely to develop drug resistance when taken correctly.
3️⃣ DTG is easier to take with once-daily dosing.
4️⃣ It has fewer side effects and fewer interactions with common medications.

Potential side effects of DTG may include insomnia, irritability, slight dizziness, gastrointestinal upset, and skin rashes.
