HOLY WEEK
Not a Biblical Requirement.

1. We, Apostolics are known for our commitment to Sola Scriptura—basing doctrine and practice strictly on the Bible. Holy Week, including Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday, is not mandated in Scripture as a formal observance, so it's often considered a tradition of man rather than a biblical command.

2. Focus on the Full Gospel, Not a Calendar

Instead of observing specific days, Apostolics focus on:

The death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus as an ever-present message—not limited to one week.

The Acts 2:38 plan of salvation (repentance, baptism in Jesus’ name, and receiving the Holy Ghost).

A lifestyle of daily remembrance and relationship with Jesus, rather than seasonal rituals.

3. Avoidance of Liturgical Tradition

Holy Week is often associated with Roman Catholicism and high church liturgical practices. Apostolics tend to distance themselves from these due to:

Concerns over pagan origins in church traditions.

A desire to maintain spiritual authenticity and biblical purity.

AMC 30th FOUNDING ANNIVERSARY
FACTS!

1. AMC (Apostolic Ministries for Christ, Inc.) was duly registered as a group on April 19,1995. Under SEC registration DNO-95-000214

2. Started out with 45 ministers (churches) only mostly from Mindanao island. Glory to God now reaching 500 (+) local churches throughout the Philippines and has reached the international shores.
a. Japan
b. Indonesia

3. The first Chairman of the Board was Ptr. Anonilon Pontillano Sr. (1995-1999). Preceded by Ptr. Jonathan Cubelo Sr , till present.

4. Most pioneering ministers were from AIM (Apostolic Independent Missions) while some are from UPC (United Pentecostal Church. Today, majority were born and raised AMC ministers.

5. We have once been associated (had fellowship) with:
a. Church of God and True Holiness -
Eld. James Childs, Bishop Dixon (et-al)
b. Pentecostal Assemblies of the World
Bishop William Smith (short period)
c. Apostolic Faith Fellowship -
Eld. Jonathan Featherstone , Eld. Jerry
Mullins.

Today, AMC stands independent from foreign mission support, but stays GOD-dependent all the time.

6. We are included with a special mention in the book of Doctor Bishop Johnny King as part of his doctorate thesis (study of Apostolic/Pentecostal roots in the Philippines) at University of Bermingham UK

7. National Convention center is about to rise!

To the Leadership, ministers and members of the AMC, let us remain steadfast. We had withstood trials upon trials but greater things are yet to come!
