In the recently concluded IFLA-APR Congress in Tokyo, Japan. The Santierra Greenways was awarded HONORABLE MENTION under Nature Conservation categories for Built project in the Asia Pacific Luminaries and LA Awards last November 17, 2023.

Get to know one of our speakers: Landscape Architect Vic Dul-Loog of SGS Designs Landscape Architecture

He is an Assistant Professor at the UP College of Architecture handling design, construction, and professional practice classes in the landscape architecture undergraduate program and urban landscape design in the landscape architecture graduate program. He is also a Managing Partner/Landscape Architect at SGS Designs. As a landscape architect/consultant, he is involved in various development projects such as the National River Park Corridor and National Government Administrative Center Phase 1 Landscape Master Plan in Tarlac, and Ayala Land projects in Luzon, Iloilo, Cebu, Davao, and Cagayan de Oro. He also handled various planned community/residential, commercial, and recreational open spaces, and park development projects, among others.

He has been a Board Member of the Philippine Regulatory Commission (PRC) Council for Continuing Professional Development since 2013. He was also a member of the Commission on Higher Education Technical Panel for Landscape Architecture from 2008 to 2010 and from 2016 to 2017, a member of the International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA) since 1998, and has been a council member of IFLA – Asia Pacific Region since 2015. He was the President of the Philippine Association of Landscape Architects (PALA) from 2014 to 2015, Vice-President from 2008 to 2013, and a Board Member from 2006 to 2017. He also co-authored a published paper entitled Urban Heat Island Phenomenon in Metro Manila.
