Some achievements are not measured by how big they look, but by the effort, dedication and shared vision behind them. Today, the Tourism Department proudly celebrates another meaningful milestone as the Liaisons of Tourism Student Association (LTSA) successfully turns a collective dream into reality through the

Your leadership and selfless service are commendable.

This desktop set is more than just another equipment inside a room. Soon, it will become part of our Travel and Tour Mock Office, where students will gain hands-on experience and practical learning opportunities. What makes this even more meaningful is that this is only one step in a bigger vision. The continuous improvement of our Travel and Tour Mock Office reflects the departmentโ€™s commitment to providing students with the best possible learning environment and facilities that will help prepare them for future careers and industry demands.

Because learning is not only about classrooms and lecturesโ€”it is also about creating spaces where students can practice, explore and grow into the professionals they aspire to become.

As the school year ends, this accomplishment reminds us that when people work together with one purpose, small ideas can become meaningful realities.

The Palawan State University- Coron Campus successfully concluded the Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE) Seminar last May 14, 2026 for the graduating BSTM students, marking another meaningful learning experience in preparing future tourism professionals to embody the highest standards of Filipino hospitality and service excellence.

The seminar became more than just an academic activity, it served as a platform for students to deepen their understanding of the values and principles that define the Filipino way of serving people with warmth, sincerity and genuine care. Through this initiative, students were equipped with essential concepts that they can carry not only into their future careers but also into their everyday interactions.

A key highlight of the seminar was the discussion of the 7Ms of Service Excellence: Maka-Diyos, Makatao, Makakalikasan, Makabansa, Masayahin, May Bayanihan at May Pag-asa which emphasize values that strengthen the Filipino identity in service. Likewise, the participants gained valuable insights into the H.E.A.R.T and the G.U.E.S.T techniques, which reinforce the importance of creating meaningful and memorable experiences for every guest.

As future tourism professionals and ambassadors of hospitality, our students were reminded that service excellence goes beyond delivering quality service, it is about touching lives through humility, compassion and authentic Filipino warmth.

The BSTM Program extends its sincerest gratitude to the university officials of Palawan State University led by Prof. Marissa S. Pontillas, OIC University President, Dr. Rodolfo O. Abalus Jr., Vice President for External Campuses, Prof. Maria Fe S. Roque, OIC Dean Del Norte Cluster, Prof. Juwelyn P. Fabon, Coron Campus Director, for their unwavering support in making this undertaking possible. We likewise express our heartfelt appreciation to the Department of Tourism - Mimaropa Office led by Mr. Roberto P. Alabado III, Regional Director for their continued commitment to developing future tourism professionals.

Special thanks are also extended to our resource speaker, Mr. Bryan John Dizon, for sharing his expertise, valuable insights and inspiring words that enriched the learning experience of our students.

The BSTM Program also expresses its gratitude to the Local Government Unit of Coron, Palawan led by Hon. Mayor Marjo Reyes, for their support and contribution to the successful conduct of this activity.

Indeed, the successful implementation of the FBSE Seminar serves as another step toward developing globally competitive graduates grounded in the values of Filipino hospitality and excellence.
