The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Isabela, through its Negosyo Center Cordon, continues to strengthen the capabilities of entrepreneurs and cooperative leaders by providing relevant knowledge on business development and market competitiveness. On 12 March 2026, JBC Irene Y. Hipolito, Negosyo Center – Cordon, served as one of the resource speakers during the Capacity Building on Cooperative Development Processes, Bookkeeping, Business Management, and IFWD PH, organized by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) for Overseas Filipino Cooperative (OFC) Leaders. The activity was held at Wilmers Resort Hotel and Restaurant in Santiago City and was attended by 52 participants from the municipalities of Burgos, Luna, and Ramon.

Representing DTI Isabela, Ms. Hipolito discussed the topic “Effective Marketing Techniques, Innovation, and Customer Satisfaction.” The discussion emphasized the importance of strategic marketing, the role of innovation in driving business sustainability, and effective methods for building strong customer relationships to ensure long-term business growth.

Participants were encouraged to adopt customer-oriented approaches and innovative ideas that would help their cooperatives and enterprises become more competitive in the market. Practical examples and strategies were also shared to guide participants in improving their products, services, and overall business operations.

The activity aimed to enhance the knowledge and leadership capabilities of OFC leaders in managing their cooperatives and enterprises, particularly in the areas of cooperative development, bookkeeping, and business management. It also introduced the IFWD PH program of DOST, which supports Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in establishing sustainable enterprises through cooperative initiatives.
