SYNOPSIS:

Jose can’t seem to forget a certain Japanese girl whom he met as a kid in Manila. With nothing but three leads on how to find her, he winds up in Japan. All he knows is that she’s from Aichi Prefecture and her name is Erika. The third lead is a handkerchief that brought their destinies together. With barely any money in Japan and at a loss on what to do, Jose has a chance encounter with a Japanese man who introduces him to a share house in Ichinomiya, where he ends up living.

Halo Halo, or “mixed together,” is a quintessential Filipino dessert. It is used in the title to express the convergence of an eclectic bunch. A young man from the Philippines suddenly comes to live in a share house with a group of people that vary in age and background. He adds his fair share to the many colorful ups and downs of the residents but they eventually begin to strike a harmonious living situation and find that life is gradually heading towards new horizons.
