Northern Iloilo State University recognizes its finest graduating student leaders and achievers through the Ten Outstanding Graduating Students of NISU (TOGSNISU) 2026 Recognition Program, currently being held at NISU in Estancia.

The ceremony commenced with a Welcome Message delivered by the Campus Administrator of NISU in Estancia, Dr. Veminrose Clariza-Samuel, who warmly welcomed the distinguished guests, awardees, and their families. This was followed by an inspiring message from Dr. Gilda E. Deguma, Vice President for Academic Affairs, who challenged the awardees to uphold the values of excellence, integrity, and servant leadership as they embark on the next chapter of their lives.

The highlight of the event is the conferment of the Ten Outstanding Graduating Students of NISU awards, recognizing graduating students who have demonstrated exemplary academic achievement, leadership, and service throughout their stay at the University.

Also recognized during the program were the former Campus Directors for Student Affairs and Services from the different NISU campuses, whose invaluable contributions and steadfast commitment have significantly advanced student welfare, leadership development, and student services across the University.

The TOGSNISU Awarding Ceremony serves as a celebration of excellence and a testament to Northern Iloilo State University's commitment to producing graduates who embody competence, character, and a heart for service.

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) has recognized Northern Iloilo State University (NISU) for its contributions to the successful conduct of the Higher Education Summit 2026 and CHED RAISE 2026 through Resolution No. 132-2026.

The resolution commended NISU, along with West Visayas State University (WVSU), Bulacan State University (BulSU), and the Development Council of SUCs Region III–Center for Interinstitutional Research and Policy Studies, for their exemplary performance and invaluable contributions to the planning, coordination, and implementation of the national events.

Additionally, the resolution stated that the recognized institutions contributed to the successful ex*****on of the activities through stakeholder coordination, program development, logistics management, and collaboration with CHED, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), and participating higher education institutions nationwide.

Meanwhile, CHED Chairperson Shirley C. Agrupis formally furnished NISU President Dr. Raffy B. Chavez with a certified true copy of the resolution, citing the university's leadership, commitment, and support in advancing transformative reforms and excellence in Philippine higher education.

Furthermore, the Commission said the recognition serves as a formal token of commendation for the institutions' collaborative efforts, which contributed to the successful staging of the national events and strengthened inter-institutional cooperation in the higher education sector.

The NISU in Concepcion Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) informs all incoming first-year students of BSEd Mathematics, BSEd Filipino, BEEd, BS Fisheries, and BS Tourism Management who have PRE-ENROLLED that the National Service Training Program (NSTP) Orientation will be conducted on:

🕗 8:00 A.M.
📍 NISU in Concepcion Gymnasium

Note: Those who have attended the NSTP Orientation Batch 1 scheduled June 29, 2026, Monday, are no longer required to attend. This is for Batch 2 only.

The orientation is a required activity for all incoming first-year students of the aforementioned programs and forms part of the University's enrollment process for the First Semester, Academic Year 2026–2027.

Students are expected to be present and arrive at the venue before the scheduled start of the program.
