With solemn hearts and deep gratitude, we mourn the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis, a humble servant of God and a tireless voice for the voiceless. In his life and papacy, he reflected the light of Christ to a world often shadowed by division and indifference.

Pope Francis was a true pastor — close to the people, especially the poor, the suffering, and the forgotten. He reminded us through word and deed that the Gospel is lived not only in prayer but also in acts of mercy, justice, and solidarity. His call to embrace the margins of society inspired a renewed commitment to love, inclusion, and compassion.

One of his most enduring legacies is his passionate plea to care for our common home. Through Laudato Si’, he awakened the conscience of humanity to the cries of the Earth and the cries of the poor. He challenged us to see creation as a sacred gift, not a resource to be exploited. His unwavering voice urged leaders and individuals alike to act with courage and urgency in preserving our planet for future generations.

He also called us to be builders of community — to walk together in synodality, to listen, and to heal. His emphasis on fraternity over fear, encounter over exclusion, and dialogue over division will echo for generations.

As we commend his soul into the hands of the Eternal Father, we carry forward the mission he so faithfully lived: to walk humbly, love tenderly, and serve with joy.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.

Sa atong katapusang pagpanaw niining buhat sa pagtuo, atong nasinati ang walay puas nga gugma sa Diyos, nga naggiya kanato sa tinood nga dalan sa kinabuhi.

Sa homiliya ni Rev. Fr. Abel Bancog, iyang gipasiugda ang makanunayon nga pagtuo sa grasya sa Diyos diha sa mga sakramento, nga mao ang makaluwas kanato gikan sa mga tampalasan ug sa mga sakit—dili ang mga tambalan. Ang angay sundon mao ang maunungon nga pagsunod sa mga hiyas ni San Pedro Calungsod, dili lamang ang mga makapaikag nga talan-awon sa atong palibot

Gidasig ni Rev. Fr. Abel Bancog ang mga tawo nga palandongan ang bililhong mensahe sa sambingay sa mausikong anak nga maoy ebanghelyo ning adlawa—usa ka pahinumdom nga bisan pa sa atong mga kapakyasan, ang Ginoo kanunayng nagpaabot kanato nga mobalik, maghinulsol, ug magpaubos sa Iyang gugma. Ang pag-angkon ug pagkompesal sa atong mga sala usa ka pultahan padulong sa hingpit nga kalinaw ug pagbag-o.
