Every parent sends their child to school with one hopeโthat they will return home safe and wiser. In a time when concerns about bullying, campus safety, and academic standards continue to grow, the ParentโTeacher Association General Assembly at Don Vicente Rama Memorial National High School became more than just a routine meeting. It became a gathering centered on cooperation, and shared responsibility.
Inside the school gymnasium, hundreds of people filled the spaceโmostly parents, teachers, and school administrators. When the program began, the speakers greeted the parents warmly and spoke with enthusiasm. Some parents chatted quietly among themselves, while others listened closely and participated actively in the discussion. A few appeared less engaged, yet they remained seated and attentive throughout the event. It is truly heartening to see that so many parents care enough to set aside time and attend the assembly to show their commitment to their childrenโs education and safety.
Many important agendas were also discussed, including the introduction of a revised grading system, the implementation of stricter safety protocols, and the adoption of antiโbullying measures. As the speakers presented these topics, their sincere and heartfelt messages resonated deeply throughout the school gymnasium. Administrators explained that these changes are not merely rules to follow, but steps taken to protect every learner and ensure that grades truly reflect what students have learned. They also emphasized that safety goes beyond security checksโit involves building kindness within the campus. Many parents nodded in agreement, realizing that these adjustments were made out of care and a commitment to provide better education and protection for the students in Don Vicente Rama Memorial National High School.
"This assembly is important for us parentsโso we fully understand the policies and rules within the campus where we have entrusted our sons and daughters. " said the parent of a Grade 12 Senior High School student.
The assembly is indeed valuable because it does not only inform parents about new guidelines and programsโit also helps them recognize that school administrators and staff are making every effort to ensure that learners, teachers, and personnel feel secure within the campus. This includes strengthening safety measures and revising assessment standards so that grades truly reflect a studentโs actual knowledge and skills. These changes are implemented to support every learner and help make Don Vicente Rama Memorial National High School a safe havenโespecially in light of the disturbing incidents that have occurred in schools across the country.
True safety and change begin when the school administrators, parents, students, and personnel work handโinโhand to build a culture of kindness, respect, and empathy. Just by staying involved and communicating openly, we can help every student learn without fear and grow into responsible individuals who can contribute positively to society.

There is a kind of love that often speaks in silenceโa love that wakes up before dawn, works tirelessly under the scorching heat of the sun, and returns home exhausted, yet still manages to ask, "How was your day?" This is the love of a father.
Fathers are often seen as the pillars of the familyโstrong, dependable, and unwavering. Yet behind their sturdy exterior lies a heart filled with sacrifices that often go unnoticed. They may not always express their affection through words, but they show it in countless ways: through long hours of work, sleepless nights worrying about their children, and the endless efforts they make to provide a better future for their families.
A father's love is found in the small momentsโthe early morning rides to school, the silent support during difficult times, the gentle reminders to keep going, and the reassuring presence that tells us we are never alone. They celebrate our victories with pride and stand beside us during our failures, reminding us that setbacks do not define who we are.
In a world where heroes are often portrayed wearing capes, many fail to realize that some of the greatest heroes wear worn-out shoes, carry heavy burdens, and silently put their families before themselves. Fathers teach us resilience, responsibility, and courageโnot merely through words, but through the lives they lead each day.
This Father's Day, let us take a moment to honor the men who have shaped us with their unwavering love and sacrifices. Let us express our gratitude not only through gifts, but through appreciation, respect, and the simple words that many fathers seldom hear: "Thank you, Dad."
For behind every dream achieved, every challenge conquered, and every success celebrated, there is often a father whose quiet love made it all possible.
To all fathers, grandfathers, father figures, and single parents who have embraced both rolesโthank you for being the strength behind every step and the light that guides us home.
Happy Father's Day.

One of the highlights of the event was the inspirational message delivered by Sir Noel L. Auxtero. His words resonated deeply with the audience, especially when he emphasized that โ๐ฌ๐

This simple yet profound statement reminded everyone that education goes beyond textbooks, examinations, and classrooms. It serves as a key that unlocks opportunities, empowers individuals to overcome challenges, and equips them with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in life. Sir Auxtero encouraged students to continue valuing education as a lifelong journey and to use it as a means of achieving their dreams and contributing positively to society.
The event also showcased an audio-visual presentation highlighting learnersโ journey throughout the summer program. Smiles, shared experiences, and memorable moments to reflect the hard work and determination of both students and teachers who made the program a success.
As certificates were awarded, each learner stood as proof that dedication and commitment can lead to meaningful progress. Their achievements demonstrated that learning does not stop when the regular school year ends; instead, it continues wherever there is a willingness to grow and to improve.
The Academic Remedial and ARAL Summer Program culminated not only with recognition and applause but also with renewed motivation among the learners. Inspired by the message that โEducation is a powerful tool,โ participants left the venue carrying valuable lessons, greater confidence, and a stronger determination to excel in their academic journey.
Indeed, the program served as a reminder that with education, perseverance, and support from the school community, every learner has the power to build a brighter future.
