On 13 May 2026, UP Cebu University Library and DepEd Cebu City Division discussed the proposed initiative to organize, strengthen, and promote sustainable school libraries in selected public schools in Cebu City.

This collaboration aims to empower school libraries as dynamic learning spaces that inspire literacy, creativity, and lifelong learning for every learner.
