𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗬𝗧𝗛 𝗢𝗙 𝗣𝗛𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗣𝗣𝗜𝗡𝗘 𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘! 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗨𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗚𝗚𝗟𝗘 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗨𝗜𝗡𝗘 𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗦𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗜𝗚𝗡𝗧𝗬!

More than a century ago, we declared independence from our Spanish oppressors only to have been bought and subjugated by the Americans for the decades that followed. Despite granting us "sovereignty" in 1946, the Philippines remained under the control of US hegemony as they continue to interfere in our nation's governance for the sake of their interests.

From economic control, to manipulating our democratic processes, and to mechanizing our labor power into a cog in their imperialist conquest through Pax Silica and EDCA, the US pushes our country and its toiling masses further into deepening poverty and misery. Meanwhile foreign business, land owners, and big corporations become richer as the government that was meant to serve its people enables our own exploitation. Under the semi-feudal semi-colonial orientation, our sovereignty is compromised.

The struggle for true independence and the revolution of Bonifacio lives on. March with us this June 12 as we fight for our rights and a lasting National Democacy!
