Learn from nature 🌿😌🤍

The stunningly beautiful aquatic vegetation of a healthy Florida spring, carefully filmed from off the side of my paddle-board in November 2023. In contrast to my recent videos of a dying spring, I wanted to reshare some footage that is closer to what these vibrant ecosystems are meant to look like. Sadly, our baseline understanding of healthy ecosystems can shift over time. If you’ve only ever visited algae-choked or barren springs, you might be tempted to think that’s normal, but it’s not. I’m grateful for this sign that has helped to preserve a flourishing aquatic world in this Florida spring. Also, a friendly reminder that state park signage is put up for a good reason.
