What has Sewpports done so far?

🧵CIS Sewpports has turned over two industrial sewing machines to the mothers at Brgy. Umapad.

🪡Since the turnover, the community has been creating and selling "trapo" (rugs) from old unused clothing. This has helped them earn enough money to buy their daily needs, such as rice!

Who do the CIS Sewpports support?

🧵The beneficiaries of the CIS Sewpports are two mothers from Brgy. Umapad who lost their jobs due to the CoVid-19 pandemic. The Sewpports aim to help these mothers out of poverty by helping them start their business, source materials, and market their products to a wider audience.
