There you have it, after days of rescheduling due to bad weather, we have officially ended Round 1 of our first-ever CSBL Season 1. The battle was between these two top-tier teams, Talisay Stake Acolytes vs Cebu City Stake Rams.

For the 30U, the Cebu City Stake Rams swarmed the Talisay Stake Acolytes with their signature pressure defense, but it was the resiliency and their 4th quarter clutch points that allowed them to stay on the top till the end.

Following their game, the 31U of the Talisay Stake Acolytes and Cebu City Rams also had their share of intensity. The Cebu City Rams were relentless in finishing to the rim, but it was the hot shooting streak of the Talisay Stake Acolytes that sealed their way to victory.

Overall, Talisay Stake Acolytes 30U technically claims the top seed (for holding the tie-breaker against CCS with a matching record of 5 Wins 1 Loss) followed by Consolacion Valiants in the 3rd spot. While the Cebu Central Stake Knights sit atop the 31U Category (with 5 Wins & only 1 Loss). The next teams are in a 3-way tie (4-2 Win-loss records) but by virtue of the head-to-head match up result, we technically have Consolacion Valiants at 2nd spot, followed by the Talisay Acolytes and CCS Rams respectively.

It was indeed a very good matchup, and this one is in the books. This round went well, friendship and sportsmanship were established, and togetherness prevailed among each team. We thank you all for your love and support, especially to all the stakes who have supported their players to be a part of this historic event. And to the commissioners, and Elder Dumas of the Area Seventy, for making this happen.

This is but the 1st half of the season so watch out for more basketball action that will determine the final victors of CSBL Season 1!
