MFC Singles Cebu Chapter

One of the hardest realities of being in a community is realizing that the people who encourage us can also disappoint us.

There will be moments when we'll feel misunderstood, overlooked, or hurt by someone we trusted. Those moments are real, and they can leave deep wounds.

But may we never allow someone's shortcomings to make us lose sight of the One who called us. Our faith was never built on people's perfection. It has always been built on Christ's faithfulness.

The community is made up of people who are still learning to love like Jesus—including us. We'll all need grace. We'll all need forgiveness. We'll all have moments when we fall short.

If you're carrying hurt today, bring it to Jesus. Let Him heal what others couldn't. Let Him remind you why you first said "yes."

Because people may disappoint us, but Christ never will.

Keep your eyes on Him. He is still worthy of your "yes."

The world tells us to follow our hearts.
Jesus invites us to form our hearts after His.

A Heart that forgives.
A Heart that serves.
A Heart that remains faithful.

In a world that teaches us to protect our hearts at all costs, Jesus teaches us something deeper: that the heart is not only meant to be guarded, but to be given away in love.

As God's beloved and chosen people, where is He calling us to go, and who is He inviting us to serve?

1. Attend the Friday Mass for the Feast of the Sacred Heart.
2. Invite a friend to attend LBS.

Household | June 8, 2026

Starting the week with a gathering, a meaningful time of spiritual nourishment and fellowship, beginning with the Holy Mass and followed by our household gathering together with our LCSC Mission Volunteers.

Thank you to our LCSC Mission Volunteers Ate Jen and Ate Mitch for journeying with us and sharing this time of faith and fellowship.

May we continue to grow together in our love for God and one another as we bring the cause of Christ to where the singles are 💚

Liturgical bible Study | May 20, 2026

Yesterday, MFC Singles gathered at the Awing Residence for our Liturgical Bible Study on the Pentecost Sunday readings together with Kuya Niño🙏📖

Through our reflection, we came up with this 3H Hibla:

The Holy Spirit is the key that unlocks our mission. 🔑✨

We were reminded that sometimes, the things we hold onto too tightly can prevent God from fully moving in our lives. But when we allow the Holy Spirit to work within us, He opens our hearts, renews our purpose, and leads us closer to the mission God has prepared for us.

As part of our Hugot, we reflected on this question:
“What area in your life needs to be unlocked by the Holy Spirit to fulfill your mission?”

And for our Hamon:
• List down the things you can’t let go of
• Offer them daily during the 3 o’clock prayer and share them with the LBS hub 🙌

May we continue to surrender ourselves to the Holy Spirit and allow Him to unlock the fullness of the life and mission God desires for us 💚

Missionary Families of Christ is truly a gift from God. Through this community, many lives have been transformed and hearts renewed.

Through different encounters with Jesus, in our events, assemblies, worship, teachings, and through the testimonies and friendships of our brothers and sisters, we continue to experience God’s love in a personal way.
