Paw It Forward

I always look for this huge dog whenever I pass this area. Sometimes he’s hanging around with the people helping manage the traffic, and sometimes he’s hiding under parked cars, searching for a cooler place to rest. Seeing him safe always makes my day a little better.

If I hadn’t looked under the truck, I would have missed him completely. He stayed hidden, watching every move I made. I could tell he was starving, but hunger wasn’t enough to silence his fear. It took him several moments and all the courage he could gather before he finally took a few careful steps toward me.
