𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝟵𝗥𝗖𝗗𝗚 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗥𝗔𝗔𝗧-𝗥𝗢𝗧𝗖𝗔𝗧 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀-𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴

The 9th Regional Community Defense Group (9RCDG), Reserve Command, Philippine Army, formally opened the Reserve Affairs Administration Training (RAAT) Cross-Training with the ROTC Administration Training (ROTCAT), attended by organic and reservist enlisted personnel at the Mess Hall, Kuta Dao, Pagadian City, on July 4, 2026. The activity was conducted through a hybrid setup with onsite and online participants.

The opening program included the Philippine National Anthem; an invocation by MSg Goliver R. Gerozaga, Sergeant Major; and welcome remarks and presentation of participants by Maj. Efren A. Pacaña, Operations Officer. The formal opening was led by Lt. Col. Merwin M. Bodollo, Executive Officer, who emphasized continuous learning, professional competence, and collaboration in strengthening reserve affairs and ROTC administration in support of the Philippine Army's mission.

This activity strengthens 9RCDG's capability to effectively manage reserve affairs and ROTC programs, supporting its mission of developing a competent, responsive, and mission-ready Reserve Force.

𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿, 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗖𝗢𝗠, 𝗣𝗔 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝟱𝗥𝗖𝗗𝗚 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆

The Commander, Reserve Command, Philippine Army (RESCOM, PA), presided over the Change of Command Ceremony of the 5th Regional Community Defense Group (5RCDG) at Camp BGen. Simeon A. Ola, Legazpi City, Albay, on July 4, 2026. The ceremony marked the formal turnover of command from Col. Ronie T. Ebarita to Col. Noel A. Cagasan, who assumed his duties as Acting Group Commander of the 5RCDG.

In his keynote message, the Commander, RESCOM, PA, recognized the significant contributions of Col. Ebarita in strengthening the Reserve Force in the Bicol Region and noted the unit's major accomplishments under his leadership, including recognition from Higher Headquarters and its participation in an international exchange program. He also emphasized that the change of command signifies continuity, growth, and a renewed commitment to the mission of the Reserve Command, while encouraging all personnel to uphold professionalism, strengthen partnerships with stakeholders, and sustain a responsive and mission-ready reserve force.

During the ceremony, Col. Ebarita was honored for his dedicated service and exemplary leadership as Group Commander. Meanwhile, Col. Cagasan expressed his gratitude for the trust and confidence extended to him and affirmed his commitment to uphold the unit's tradition of excellence while further strengthening its capability in support of the Philippine Army and the communities within its area of responsibility.

𝟵𝗥𝗖𝗗𝗚 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘁 𝗘𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗥𝘂𝗻

The 9th Regional Community Defense Group (9RCDG) conducted a Morning Road Run for the cadets of the Advanced ROTC Academic Phase Training (ARAPT) MS 31-32, Class 02-2026 at Kuta Dao, Pagadian City, on July 1, 2026.

Lt. Col. Merwin M. Bodollo, Assistant Training Director of ARAPT MS 31-32, Class 02-2026, led the road run alongside the cadets as they completed a round trip from the 9RCDG Headquarters, Kuta Dao, to Unity Park, Dao, Pagadian City, and back. Throughout the route, the cadets-maintained formation, a steady pace, and strong camaraderie, strengthening their endurance, discipline, and resilience.

By running alongside the trainees, Lt. Col. Bodollo demonstrated leadership by example, reinforcing the values of unity, perseverance, and commitment expected of future military leaders.

The cadets completed the road run with determination and high morale, reflecting their physical readiness, mental toughness, and teamwork. The activity highlights 9RCDG's continuing commitment to developing disciplined, resilient, and mission-ready reservists prepared to serve the nation.
