Things to consider when hiring an ARCHITECT​.

1. With or without experience?​
- If yes consider asking for a previous client that you can interview, that can tell you about his/her experience sa architect na nakausap mo. ​
- If not experienced check his or her design style meaning look at his previous work and if it fits your preferred house design.​

2. Registered or not?​
- Of course, you need to hire a registered architect and with good standing, meaning the license is either not expired or hindi suspended​

3. Is there a charge sa initial meeting?​
- Yes and no, depende sa meeting. If meeting with ocular na papasukatan mo bahay mo dahil paparenovate ka tapos wala kang as-built plans or gusto mo i-make sure na tama 'yung mujon sa lote mo at need i-check 'yung land title mo then yes, he/she "may" ask for a initial meeting fee. ​
- Pero kung meeting lang online then you already have the necessary matariels, information ng project and docs then pwedeng walang initial fee.​

4. What services he or she offer?​
- DADS or DAEDS? Detailed architectural design service lang ba or meron siyang team of allied professionals? Meaning pati ba engineering drawings possible na covered na ng contract or hanggang architectural lang.​
- Meron din ba siyang project management service or supervision lang?​
​
5. When you will be able to meet?​
- Meaning employed ba siya and sideline niya ang pagfi-freelance, pure freelancer, or have his or her own company? ​
- Dahil kung employed siya meaning weekends or late nights lang ang meetings niyo, or 'pag freelancer ba siya pwede ba siya on the weekends, holidays, or ga'no ka-flexible si architect.​

6. Track Record?​
- Parang no.1 check his or her previous work, natapos ba natuloy ba yung project happy ba yung previous clients, may mga naging issue ba? etc.​

7. How do they charge?​
- Progress billing ba? May bonds? Do they have retention benefits? Pwede ba cryptocurrency? Cash? Cheques or bank transfers? For corparate projects and mga projects na requirement ang resibo meron ba siyang official receipt, registered ba siya sa BIR?​
​
8. Do they have a builder in mind?​
- Does your architect do design and build or meron siyang kilalang trusted na builder or papa-bid mo 'yung construction separately after ng design process and si architect ba ang magpapa-bid?​
​
9. How can I trust you na tatapusin mo yung project?​
- May contract ba siya? Client centric ba 'yung contract ni architect or self serving, or balance and fair? Can I charge liquidated damages for delays or ano 'yung timeline natin sa project feasible ba or non-feasible?​
​
10. Signature projects or Design Styles?​
- Like sa no.1 you first need to know, ano bang theme ng papagawa mo 'yung gusto mo, contemporary, industrial, muji, scandinavian, tropical, or mixed of everything? bahay ba 'yan, office, or commercial project?​
- If bahay papagawa mo ask your architect if 'yung expertise niya ba is residential?​
- If yes ano 'yung design style niya? More on modern ba or classic style or both.​

To verify no.2? If license ba, good standing or suspended ang license. Check it sa professional regulation commission website! Andiyan 'yung ID at picture nu'ng architect.​
