PNP Statement on the Reported Arrest of Zaldy Co

The Philippine National Police (PNP) takes note of the reported arrest of former lawmaker Elizaldy “Zaldy” Co, who is said to be currently detained in Prague under the custody of Czech authorities.

The PNP is actively verifying this development through official channels and coordination with concerned agencies and international law enforcement partners.

Once confirmed, the PNP stands ready to support all necessary legal processes, including coordination for his possible return to the Philippines.

PNPTI STATEMENT ON ALLEGED R**E AT THE CORDILLERA ADMINISTRATIVE REGION TRAINING CENTER (CARTC)

The Philippine National Police Training Institute (PNPTI) strongly condemns the reported alleged r**e incident involving a police trainee and PNP personnel assigned at the Cordillera Administrative Region Training Center (CARTC), Teacher's Camp, Baguio City.

PNPTI confirms that the case has been formally filed before the appropriate Prosecutorial Office, and administrative proceedings are underway.

We reiterate that there is no place in the Philippine National Police (PNP) for abuse of authority or misconduct. The PNPTI assures the public that justice will be pursued with urgency, transparency, and accountability. Those found guilty will face the full force of the law - no exceptions.

While due process is observed, the PNPTI reaffirms its commitment to maintaining a safe, secure, and respectful training environment for all police trainees and personnel.
