OTCHO Regional Events

Aaaand we're back! 🥳 After three months of hiatus, we're continuing our efforts to help the otaku community in Tacloban City... and we're making things official! Tacloban Otaku Network (TON) will now serve as the official youth-serving community (non-profit org) of Otaku Tacloban Cosplay Host Organization - OTCHO. Meanwhile, OTCHO will be reconstructed into a talent and event management company. TON will focus on community-building, giving otakuzens opportunities to improve their talents and connect with others of similar interests. OTCHO will focus on the business side, especially on legalizing selling of products in events. In TON, we'll be accepting individuals from Tacloban City who fit the following criteria: - atleast 13 years old - from or living in Tacloban City - an otaku (e.g. anime fan) - eager to share his talents and hobbies TON shall be divided into 5 tribes: - cosplayers - table-top gamers - digital gamers - toy/merch collectors - artists If you fit in at least one of the tribes stated above, you are welcome to join us! Benefits of joining: - automatic access to exclusive or private events of the organization (e.g. casual hangouts, cupsleeve events, etc.) - free or affordable training workshops exclusive to members - priority attendees/participants/concessionaires in our public events (conventions) Here's how to join: 1. Attend our online public orientation on July 17, 8PM. Google Meet Link shall be posted on this page. 2. Fill out this online application form. https://forms.gle/jDLVoKDDwTN3kvxi8 Registration is until July 27, 2024 for the first batch. 2. Wait for confirmation by email/chat/text. Once accepted, you’ll be added to our group chats on Messenger and Discord where you can also review the rules and where you can be updated of upcoming events. *Note: The organization is currently being handled by its advisers or board of directors and it is under the process of getting registered in the National Youth Commission. Expect that we will have initial activities to familiarize each other and an upcoming election of officers.

After the Samar College 75th Anniversary wherein we served as cosplay guests, we rested in the rooms that the school provided for us in their own hotel (SC Hotel) until the morning of the next day then strolled around Catbalogan before most of us went back to Tacloban.

Thank you for inviting Otaku Tacloban Cosplay Host Organization - OTCHO to help you in the planning of the cosplay aspect of your super special event and in presenting cosplay stage presentations.

There were 20+ of us cosplayers mostly from Tacloban (OTCHO staff and cosplayer guests from Tac), a few from Catbalogan and one from Calbayog.

Thank you for providing all of us transportation fares, hotel accommodation, food and honorarium. ❤️

We really appreciate your passion to provide the best experience for your students, not only in academics but also in the arts... so far as to invite us weeks before this event to conduct a cosplay workshop.

Congratulations to a successful event last month. We are honored to witness you on your 75th year.

Thank you for recognizing the hobby cosplay and for seeing its potential to spark creativity and love for literature to the youth.

Although we are barely experts in this field as we reactivated cosplay events in Tacloban just this year, you counted on us. Thank you for the trust.
