👀Strengthening nutrition systems through data and collaboration! 📊🌱

The PMNP PPMO successfully conducted the 3-day Roll-out Training on the Landscape Analysis on Nutrition Situation Assessment (LANA) on April 6–8, 2026 at MGrand Royale Resort in Catbalogan City.

The activity equipped key municipal stakeholders—including the MHO, PHN/FHSIS Coordinators, MNAO, Technical Managers, and MWDOs—with the knowledge and skills to update their MLGU LANA profile dashboards. It deepened their understanding of the eight key components of LANA, including their relevance, definitions, appropriateness, and data sources.

Emphasis was also placed on ensuring data quality through proper validation and quality checks prior to dashboard entry.

✨ Key highlights of the training included:
• Hands-on actual data entry to the LANA Dashboard, where participants were able to apply their learnings using the LANA ODK entry forms across all components and successfully complete draft MLGU LANA dashboards
• The development and presentation of Municipal Re-entry Plans, where LGUs outlined their planned activities on data collection, validation and approval, data encoding, and utilization of the LANA Dashboard for local planning and policy development

Guided by the provided template, the re-entry plans identified timelines, responsible personnel, and the necessary support from the LGU and RPMO to ensure effective implementation.

Selected LGUs—Almagro, Tarangnan, and Hinabangan—presented their outputs, showcasing practical and strategic approaches to operationalizing LANA at the local level. Their presentations reflected strong commitment to continuous data updating, quality assurance, and integration into MNAP/BNAP and other local initiatives.

This 3-day training marks a vital step toward strengthening evidence-based planning and improving nutrition outcomes in our communities.
