The MENRO Personnel spearheaded by the OIC-MENRO, Engr. Jay-ar B. Lim conducted an Orientation to Barangay Secretaries and Chairman on Solid Waste Management Committee on how to conduct Waste Analysis and Characterization Study/Survey in thier respective barangays held at Brgy. Macagtas, Catarman, N. Samar.

The Waste Analysis and Characterization Study (WACS) is the process of gathering information on the quantity, composition, and type/kind of solid wastes generated from various sources, such as residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial sources.

The study aimed to 1) determine the wastes sources generated in the municipality; 2) determine the per capita generation (pcg); 3) assess the percentage of waste composition generated daily from various sources; 4) determine the total weight (kgs) and volume of waste disposed per day for the whole municipality; and 5) design measures toward effective sustainable solid waste management project, legislation policies and strategies. This is also one of the component in formulating Barangay Solid Waste Management Plan and LGU 10-year Plan.

On February 16, 2024

The OIC-MENRO Engr. Jay-ar B. Lim took the Polangi National High School OJT students on a tour at Central Materials Recovery Facility and Sanitary Landfill located at Sitio Banihit, Brgy. Cal-igang. Discussed the solid waste disposal process.

Engr. Kenny Jane Pamplona introduced the machineries and equipments present in CMRF and how it helps in solid waste diversion and recovery.

She also introduced and explained the process of Septage Treatment Plant.

This is in preparation of Fluvial Parade or "Sakay-sakay" to be held along Catarman River on January 28, 2024 as one of the activities of Sto. Niño De Catarman Tarum Festival. ♻️

Nagkondukto an mga barangay officials ngan empleyado san Brgy. Doña Polqueria sin clean-up drive sa ginhimo nga dumping site sa mga lumarabay didto dapit sa Purok 1, Diversion Road, Brgy. Doña Polqueria.

Salamat sa dagmit nga aksyon sa pangunguna ni Punong Barangay Chona Buban.

Para sa impormasyon sa ngatanan iguin didiri an "open dumpsite" o pagtambak sa basura sa kun diin diin nga lugar nga diri naagi sa tama nga proseso. Mayda penalidad kun sino man an madadakpan nga nagtatambak sa diri tama nga tambakan. Sanglit maging responsable kita saat mga lugaring nga basura pinaagi sin pagpilak o pagtambak sa tama nga lugar.

Para sadton mga nagpipilak basura sini nga area kunta diri na ini mautro. Mayaon kita regular collection sa mga barangay MRFs ngan mga business establishments. Ada an aton magduruto nga barangay opisyales nga nagtitimangno sa mga basura saat panimalay ngan an Garbage Collectors san LGU Catarman dirikta nga nakukuha sa mga business establishments. ♻️

Kanina Enero 9, insalin-urog dinhi sa Catarman, Northern Samar an tinuig na Traslacion komo parte sa selebrasyon san Fiesta ni Nuestra Padre Jesus Nazareno.

Kada tuig ada an Munisipyo sa Catarman para umasister sini nga selebrasyon pinaagi sa mga opisina san MDRRMO, MPOSO, RHU, PNP, BFP ngan MENRO Street Sweepers para maging mamurayaw an aktibidad ngan maging malimpyo an aagihan san mga deboto antis ngan kahuman sa Traslacion.

Salamat sa ato magduruto nga Street Sweepers ngan sa iba pa nga opisina nga nagin matalwas ngan mamurayaw an aton selebrasyon.
