You know what's worse?

These people who were once good and kind.

But they were damaged by other individuals for so long they become disillusioned by the cruelness of the world they live in.

Their once shining spark of goodness becomes diminished over time, slowly succumbing to the darkness that infects them.

They slowly become angry, agitated. Where once they were kind and patient …now they become cruel and hard.

It's a slow process of turning, like an illness that crawls over every inch of your being.

They feel that the world has turned it's back on them. Frustration sets in, what's the point of being nice when nobody appreciates it anyway?

Because the world is full of cruel people, ready to devour the nice people. They take from them, then they throw them out when they longer need them.

The world is cruel, people are cruel.
