𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐋𝐮𝐳𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 (𝐒𝐋𝐒𝐔) 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐮𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐬 (𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐂) 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝟕𝐭𝐡 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐀𝐉 𝐉𝐀𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐍 𝐒 𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐎𝐆 (𝐈𝐍𝐅) 𝐏𝐀, 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐭. The activity formally began with the formation of cadets and cadettes guided by 𝐒𝐠𝐭 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐁 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐨 𝐏𝐀 (𝐑𝐞𝐬), 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐍𝐂𝐎/𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫, 𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐂/𝐋𝐓𝐂 𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐀𝐍 𝐀 𝐃𝐄𝐕𝐈𝐃𝐀, 𝟏𝐂𝐋, 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫. This was followed by the checking of attendance and the proper organization of cadets in preparation for the scheduled lecture.

During the lecture proper, 𝐒𝐠𝐭 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐁 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐨 𝐏𝐀 (𝐑𝐞𝐬) discussed 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐇𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, emphasizing how warfare, strategies, and military systems have developed over time. She highlighted that studying military history allows individuals to learn from past conflicts, successes, and failures, which helps improve planning, leadership, and decision-making in military operations. The discussion also explained how advancements in technology, tactics, and military organization have adapted to different challenges throughout history. After the lecture, cadets take a quiz to test the knowledge they gained on the lesson discussion.

The training proceeded with 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐬, 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐌𝟏𝟒 𝐖𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐑𝐢𝐟𝐥𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐒𝐠𝐭 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐒𝐠 𝐀𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐳 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐯𝐭 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐂 𝐏𝐞ñ𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐝𝐞 𝐏𝐀 (𝐑𝐞𝐬) 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐯𝐭 𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨 𝐈 𝐁𝐢ñ𝐚𝐬 𝐏𝐀 (𝐑𝐞𝐬), 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬, drills was performed under the leadership of the twenty-four (24) Advance Officers, composed of eight (8) First Class (1CL), eight (8) Second Class (2CL), and eight (8) Third Class (3CL) cadets. This activity helped strengthen the cadets’ discipline, coordination, and ability to execute commands properly, while promoting unity, alertness, and proper military bearing.

Overall, the 7th Training Day demonstrated the SLSU ROTC Unit’s commitment to developing disciplined, knowledgeable, and motivated future leaders who uphold the values of honor, integrity, and service.

The 𝐒𝐋𝐒𝐔 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐮𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐂 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 proudly joins the nation in celebrating 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐂 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 with a theme “𝑹𝑶𝑻𝑪: 𝑺𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑫𝒊𝒔𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒅 𝑷𝒂𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒐𝒕𝒔 𝑺𝒕𝒆𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏-𝑩𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑷𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒓𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑺𝒆𝒄𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒚”, we honor the valor and dedication of our cadets who embody the values of discipline, integrity, and leadership.
