DUERO, BOHOL — In a continuous effort to bring accessible healthcare directly to grassroots communities, the Kumbati Clinic conducted a Libreng Konsulta (Free Medical Consultation) outreach program in Barangay Langkis, Duero, yesterday, July 8, 2026.

The medical mission is part of the flagship healthcare program of Bohol 3rd District Congresswoman Alexie B. Tutor. Branded under the banner of "Tinuoray nga Serbisyo" (True Service), the initiative aims to bridge the gap for rural residents who face geographical and financial barriers to quality medical checkups.

Coinciding with its community outreach, Kumbati Clinic also proudly participated in the Wellness Drive organized in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Parole and Probation Administration (PPA).

TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol — In a targeted effort to strengthen grassroots governance and secure local food supplies, barangay officials from the municipalities of Guindulman, Mabini, and Lila gathered at the New Capitol Building on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, for a comprehensive Capacity Development Training.

The seminar focused primarily on equipping local leaders with advanced skills and knowledge to accelerate the delivery of government programs, with a heavy emphasis on boosting agricultural productivity and ensuring long-term food security across their communities.

Provincial government representatives and agricultural experts led the sessions, emphasizing that barangay captains and councilors serve as the vital bridge between provincial initiatives and the actual farmers and fishermen on the ground.

Vice Governor Nicanor "Nick" Besas highlighted the crucial role of village officials in fostering countryside development and sustainability.

"Through collaboration and continuous learning, we can make every single barangay resilient and self-sufficient," Vice Governor Besas noted during the event. "When our local leaders are knowledgeable, our food supply chains become stronger."

The participating officials welcomed the proactive training, noting that the agricultural insights gained would immediately help them refine their local barangay development plans.
