Celebrating eight decades of dedicated service, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) culminated its week-long Founding Anniversary celebration with the theme “80 Years of Excellence: Cultivating Innovation, Sustainability, and Global Leadership,” at the Gilberto O. Teodoro Multipurpose Center on 19 December.

The commemorative program featured a festive atmosphere including fellowship, socialization, cha-cha dance competition, best-dressed award, raffle draws, and games.

TAU retirees also took part in the celebration, as part of TAU’s tradition promoting inclusivity and honoring its legacy.

Meanwhile, the event also featured an anniversary message from TAU President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, bringing the milestone to a meaningful close, grounded in gratitude, reflection, and a renewed sense of purpose.

“Eighty years. Eight decades of learning, service, community, and transformation. Few institutions are given the privilege to celebrate such a milestone, and fewer still are able to do so with the strength, relevance, and vitality that TAU demonstrates today,” he noted.

“Habang ipinagdiriwang natin ang walumpung mabunga at mahahalagang taon ng TAU, magpatuloy tayo nang may pasasalamat sa ating nakaraan, paninindigan sa kasalukuyan, pasasalamat sa paglalakbay ng 2025, dala ang pag-asa sa pangako ng 2026, at may pinag-isang tiwala sa kinabukasang sama-sama nating lilikhain,” he added.

“Agyamanak Apo. Maligayang pagdiriwang ng pagtatapos ng Taong 2025, pagdating ng Taong 2026, at Walumpung Makasaysayang Taon ng Tarlac Agricultural University. Agbiag, TAU! Dios la unay ti agngina!” he further stated.

As TAU marks its milestone anniversary, it honors eight decades of dedicated service while looking ahead to a future of sustained growth and meaningful contributions to society.

In a proactive move to foster an open, supportive campus setting where conversations about mental health are normalized and embraced, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) through the Office of Student Services and Development (OSSD) - Guidance and Counseling Unit, conducted a series of activities in line with the worldwide observance of mental health awareness month, held within the University campus, 17 October.

Teodoro (GOT) Multipurpose Center for the annual General Orientation Program that features presentations on TAU's Vision, Mission, Goals, and Objectives (VMGO) and essential student services from various University offices.
