Metrobank hosted an intimate, conversation-filled lunch for the Davao Bloggers Society at Lamano with the intent to help us become more financially educated.

Here's what stuck in my mind.

Start the Season by Planning Ahead

G – Get ahead with GOALS

I – INVEST bonuses wisely

F – FOLLOW a budget plan

T – TAKE ADVANTAGE of deals

After a short time to digest our food and the gift of information about the GIFT program, we were asked to write down our goals for 2026.

And in my mind, like Sarah Maddack, I started to break out in rhyme.

That sparked some joy in everyone as we scrabbled to scribble our hopes and dreams and other sensible things.

Some wrote down their goals in big, bold letters, while others drew objects or came up with doodles.

But in the end everyone came up with oodles and oodles of wonderful things that serve as motivational fuel.

All in all, what I can recall:

It was a great day to appreciate the gift of information about the GIFT program and also get a gift bag full of gifts and goodies from the wonderful gift-giving Metrobank gifters.
