Dye Migration can be a serious problem for some screen printers. It can ruin an entire production and can lead to customer dissatisfaction.
It’s a common problem when printing on dark colored garments with less cotton in it or polyester fabrics. It occurs during the curing process of plastisol ink which, requires heat in order to be cured. Hence, the dye from polyester fibers bleed into the ink that is screen printed on the garments. To prevent this problem, we simply use Anti Dye Migration Ink as an under base to block the fabric’s dye going up.
