🌊 LGU–Jasaan Launches Fisherfolk Champions Hub 🌊

Niadtong Enero 29, 2026, gilunsad sa LGU–Jasaan ang Fisherfolk Champions Hub sa Kimaya, Jasaan Covered Court, sa panguna ni Hon. Mayor Redentor Jardin, uban ang aktibong kalambigitan ni Hon. Councilor Kenneth Yame Valde (Fisheries Sector) ug sa Buhatan sa Agrikultura.

Tumong sa maong inisyatiba ang pagdasig sa mga mananagat nga magparehistro ug makakuha sa hustong permit sa ilang mga bangka ug gamit pangisda, aron masiguro ang legal, luwas, ug responsableng pagpangisda ug mapalambo ang malungtarong pamatasan sa pangisdaan.

Ang Fisherfolk Champions Hub usa ka espasyo sa serbisyo, kahibalo, ug panaghiusa, nga nagpalig-on sa papel sa mga mananagat isip mga tigbantay sa Macajalar Bay ug kauban sa lokal nga pangdumala sa yamang-dagat.

Aktibong misuporta ug mitambong ang MBDA–PMO, RARE Philippines, FPE, mga partner LGUs sa Macajalar Bay, ug lain-laing NGAs, nga nagpakita sa kusog nga panagtambayayong alang sa himΒ­sog nga kadagatan ug lig-on nga komunidad sa mananagat.

The Macajalar Bay Development Alliance (MBDA) in partnership with RARE Inc. under Project Transcend proudly invites member LGUs and partners to join the Fish Forever Leadership Academy 2025 β€” a transformative three-year leadership and learning program designed to strengthen coastal fisheries governance, build resilient communities, and empower local leaders and fisherfolk.

Through this program, participants will gain deeper knowledge on sustainable fisheries management, apply innovative behavior-centered design approaches, and co-create solutions with communities to protect our coastal resources for future generations. 🌿✨

🌊 Strengthening Partnerships for a Sustainable Macajalar Bay! 🌿

The Macajalar Bay Development Alliance (MBDA) successfully concluded a series of courtesy visits and coordination meetings from September 29-October 3, 2025, together with partners from the Foundation for the Philippine Environment (FPE) and RARE Philippines under the TRANSCEND Project.

These engagements highlighted the shared commitment of Local Government Units, People’s Organizations, the Academe and Private Sector partners toward the sustainable management of our coastal and marine resources.

With the valuable support of FPE and RARE, upcoming activities will focus on strengthening community-based initiatives, promoting biodiversity conservation and fostering inclusive growth for the people and environment of Macajalar Bay.

Together, we transcend boundaries for a bluer, greener, and more resilient bay! πŸ’™πŸŒ
