𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐈𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐄 𝐌𝐄𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐎𝐍 𝐋𝐀𝐖𝐒 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐑𝐔𝐋𝐄𝐒

Today, I attended the Committee Meeting on Laws and Rules chaired by Hon. Atty. Ed Cabanlas, where several important matters affecting our city were thoroughly discussed and deliberated.

Among the agenda taken up were:

• Resolution No. 2, Series of 2026 of the Local School Board recommending the conversion of Fr. William F. Masterson, SJ Elementary School into Fr. William SJ Integrated School in Barangay Balulang.

• Proposed Ordinance No. 2025-0037 seeking amendments to the City’s curfew regulations for minors and the corresponding penalties for violations.

• Proposed revision and formulation of a City Ordinance reorganizing the composition of the Governing Board of the City College of Cagayan de Oro.

• Concerns raised by the Federation of Uptown Village Homeowners Associations, Inc. (FUVHOAS) regarding the revised Fair Market Values of Real Properties under City Ordinance No. 14900-2024.

• Endorsement from the Cagayan de Oro Water District regarding OGCC Opinion No. 028, Series of 2026, on conflicting LGU resolutions involving water system management in Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon.

As your city councilor, I remain committed to carefully studying proposed measures and ensuring that policies and ordinances are responsive to the needs and welfare of every Kagay-anon.
