By April 2025, the Laguindingan Airport, in Northern Mindanao, will be handed over to Aboitiz InfraCapital, a company responsible for infrastructure development and management. Aboitiz InfraCapital will take charge of the airport's operations, its future expansion, and ongoing maintenance. This marks Laguindingan Airport as the fourth airport in the Philippines to be managed by a private company, following in the footsteps of airports like Mactan-Cebu International, NAIA and Clark International. This privatization aims to improve airport services, boost efficiency, and support regional economic growth.
