This costume is inspired by Kabyawan, an annual thanksgiving festival in Cabiao, Nueva Ecija that celebrates the townโ€™s agricultural heritage and honors the kabyawan, a traditional carabao-driven stone mill used in sugarcane production. At first glance, the design highlights sugarcane, representing its importance as a primary industry of the town.

As the costume unfolds, it reveals the richness of Cabiaoโ€™s harvestโ€”palay, mais, mangga, fishes, and the gilingan ng tubo, with the carabao symbolizing strength and resilience. This transformation reflects the connection between a single crop and the communityโ€™s overall abundance.

Crafted in earthy tones with textured patterns and embroidery, and crowned by the sun, it symbolizes hope, prosperity, and gratitude to the farmers.
