Tell me you have commitment issues without telling me you have commitment issues... I'll go first: The Avocado. 🥑😛

The avocado is a dramatic, single-seeded berry that stubbornly refuses to ripen while attached to its tree, staying rock-hard on the branch for up to seven months. The moment it is picked, a chaotic chemical countdown begins, creating that famously frustrating routine where it goes from rock-hard in the morning, to perfectly creamy for a tiny twenty-minute window, to completely brown by dinner. Beyond its high-maintenance timeline, the avocado is an evolutionary survivor; its giant seed was meant to be spread by ice-age ground sloths, meaning your modern guacamole only exists because humans stepped in to save the fruit after those giant animals went extinct.

As time has passed, the LEAP Club Officers for the School Year 2025–2026 are now officially signing off. What once felt like the beginning has now come to a meaningful close, filled with memories we will carry with us for a lifetime.
