i suddenly remembered my fAvORItE teacher back in my grade 11 yrs. hawak niya yung subject namin tumatalakay sa SOCIETY. at first, i'm really excited & looking forward, personally. but i never knew na isa ito sa magiging biggest disappointment ng buhay ko (ay WAW). aside from him having a toxic masculinity, being a sexist, insensitive, homophobic, narcissistic, and a total d***, ine-expect ko na average grade lang yung makukuha ko sa kaniya (but i'm thankful kasi pasado naman). ewan. literal na wala akong natutunang bagay na ine-expect kong maiiwan at tatatak sa akin noong 2nd sem (aside sa mga batas-batas na wala nang bago). it turned out na iba yung naging outcome.

i always raised my hand, stand up in class & addressed his criticism on how a woman should dressed, that the guy should be the one who will work and that a woman should stay in home to do house chores, that being gay and expressing your most authentic way is a sin etc. he even love to express humor using his dirty jokes, particularly r**e jokes. kaya kahit alam kong nagsasawa at nayayabangan na yung ibang mga kaklase ko sa mga comments & side opinions ko, tuloy pa rin ako. para saan pa yung essence ng subject naming tumatakbo sa concern and issues ng society kung hindi naman ko/namin se-seryosohin? ewan. maybe they see it as a MINOR subject at hindi magiging sakop ng mga kukunin naming course. and it really sad kasi they only see this as a REQUIREMENT.

i also tried to reached my parents out regarding to this. pero alam niyo kung ano yung natanggap kong sagot? "you should learn to shut up" para naman daw mataas yung ibigay sa aking grades. [from an honor student's parents' perspective]

i don't know if its my 'respectful' & 'humble' approach, or yung mga quizes and PTs ko? but i'm pretty sure na hindi naman siguro yung participation ko sa klase niya kasi lagi akong present. (wala na yata talaga akong chance na makakuha ng 90 or 91 above sa sub niya, lol).
speaking about the government & the injustices, kaya pala may ibang taong okay na lang para sa kanila yung manahimik at magbulag-bulagan, kasi some things are rooted from a simple latter that has a big & never ending impact.

may other side is blaming him kasi imbis na malinawan sila at maging aware sa mga ganitong uri ng variables, especially sa gender roles and empowerment, walang nangyayaring progress at major development.

wala namang masama na kung minsan, subukan din nating humugot ng lakas ng loob. try to speak and express your selves out dahil iba pa rin yung may maiiwan kang bagay na puwedeng matandaan at makapag-pabago sa isip at paniniwala ng lahat. it takes a though word yet tender understanding.

Huwag ka na mag effort doon kasi hindi rin lang aabot sa standard n'ya.
