Jilson and Alyosha tied the knot last April in the simplest, most genuine way — no gowns, no fanfare, just love and a corner of Manila City Hall.

It was my first time meeting Alyosha (a.k.a Alya), and she immediately felt familiar — warm, joyful, and effortlessly charming! 🫶🏼 Jilson, ever the steady photojournalist (slash one of my idol friend that’s why I felt a little pressured that day haha!), gave his usual smile. I expected something formal, but they showed up in jeans, a jumpsuit, and rubber shoes — no makeup, no fuss, just a few loved ones and a room full of happiness.

Jilson not carrying his favorite 70-200 but instead, holding Alya’s hand all the time. While me, I am fully geared! (Again, the pressure was on me! HAHA!) But I wasn’t able to use them all. Ended up playing with my 24-70 and 85 ✌🏼. Then a few heartfelt words, a blessing, a ring, a kiss, and a signed paper sealed their love story.

We hung around City Hall after, taking photos as they strolled the old hallways like they owned the place. I didn’t directed them too much I just let them do their thing! 🥹 A short street shoot followed, then a cozy dinner at .salcedo — good food, hugs, laughter, and shared joy.

The day didn’t need to try to be special — it just was!

Can’t wait to share their destination travel and celebration next! 💚
