And a milestone has just ended...

Participating in the prestigious National Music Competition for Young Artists started with a dream, followed by doubts. NAMCYA is undoubtingly one of the toughest competitions in the country and we asked ourselves if we are even ready to face the falcons of choral music in the country, but on a second thought we said, we will never know unless we try.

The first level was through a video submission and we were lucky enough to be chosen to participate in the regional finals. When it was announced that the regional finals will be held in Bacolod, doubts are starting to arise again as we think on how to raise funds to be able to reach Bacolod, gladly the school shouldered our fare, and to make the long story short we hurdled the regional finals and made it to the National Finals.

So here we are today representing Cebu and Region 7 in the National Finals but before we were able to fly here we have to face a lot of stumbling blocks such as resources, earthquakes, floods, lack of place to rehearse, etc, etc, etc. But Lo and Behold, yes, we made it to the MET Theater and we were able to bring the Cebuano Voice in the National Stage, we were not able to secure a top spot but WE MADE IT! Yes WE MADE IT!

To the USPF Administration headed by our President, Dr. Amelia Biglete, VPAA Dr. Elaine Patino, VPA Engr. Tony Lapingcao, our Cultural Director Mr. Glen Albutra, Sir Jhed Arches, Maam Judith Eparwa, SAS headed by Maam Grace, assisted by Ms. Chen and Sir Kevin, to our 2nd Mom, Dr. Janet Arcana, AB Music Department Sir Magno Aquino, Sir Brian and Maam Odette Jereza, Sir Charles Baguio, to UCCP Bradford for giving us a temporary space when we needed it, to music friends, Maam Darlane Yap, Sir Dennis Sugarol, Sir Anton Solomon, Sir Edward Invento, Ms. Gabriela Lada, to everyone who Donated, Supported, Prayed, and Cheered for us, DAGHAN KAAAAAAYONG SALAMAT!
