The Philippine Postal Corporation (Post Office) issues commemorative stamps and official first day covers for the Centennial Celebration of the City of , with the theme “Celebrating Life and Heritage with Thanksgiving”.

Before formally becoming a town on January 1, 1921, by virtue of Executive Order No. 62, Bislig existed as a pueblo. It gained its status as a component city on September 18, 2000, through Republic Act No. 8804.

The stamps for this occasion feature the Centennial Poster for Bislig by Carl Leonard A. Dollete, the Tinuy-an Falls, Kawa Kawa, and the Karawasan Festival. The official first day cover features a view of the Lawigan Beach Resort, with the Philippine eagle (Pithecophaga jefferyi), which frequents protected areas in Bislig, prominently displayed in the foreground.
