𝐒𝐌𝐌𝐏–𝐒𝐇𝐒 𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐅𝐈𝐄𝐒 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐓𝐔𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐁𝐘-𝐋𝐀𝐖𝐒 𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐒

The 𝙎𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙜𝙖 𝙈𝙖𝙜-𝙖𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙡 𝙨𝙖 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙖𝙨 𝙣𝙖 𝙋𝙖𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙣 – 𝙎𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙤𝙧 𝙃𝙞𝙜𝙝 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡 (𝙎𝙈𝙈𝙋–𝙎𝙃𝙎) successfully conducted an online meeting for the amendment of its 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝘆-𝗟𝗮𝘄𝘀 on 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟯, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, at 𝟮:𝟬𝟬 𝗣𝗠 via Google Meet. The session was presided over by the Legislative Head, 𝗝𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗮 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗣𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗮, who also serves as the 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗠𝗠𝗣–𝗦𝗛𝗦.

Present during the meeting were the duly elected officers of SMMP–SHS who deliberated on proposed amendments in preparation for the implementation of the 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻'𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘂𝗺.

One of the major matters discussed was the 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝟭𝟭, wherein the 𝗛𝗨𝗠𝗦𝗦 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗠 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 will no longer be offered under the new curriculum. Consequently, the council unanimously agreed to amend 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗜𝗩, 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟯 regarding legislative representation.

The revised provision now states:

“Section 3. The Legislative Council shall be composed of the Vice President and one (1) representative from each section per grade level in accordance with the existing curriculum.”

As a result, the positions of 𝗛𝗨𝗠𝗦𝗦 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 and 𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗠 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 will no longer be included in future elections, with representation instead being based on sections.

With a 𝗾𝘂𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 (𝟭𝟭) 𝘃𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 present, the following amendments were unanimously approved:

• Section 8 – 11 votes

Following the 𝘂𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗹 of the proposed amendments, the 𝗦𝗠𝗠𝗣–𝗦𝗛𝗦 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝘆-𝗟𝗮𝘄𝘀 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 is hereby officially proclaimed and shall take effect at the 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘂𝗽𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿.

Through these amendments, SMMP–SHS continues its commitment to ensuring that its governing policies remain responsive, relevant, and aligned with the evolving educational landscape.

Today, we give recognition to the student leaders of 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 – 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹, proudly known as the 𝙎𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙜𝙖 𝙈𝙖𝙜-𝙖𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙡 𝙨𝙖 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙖𝙨 𝙣𝙖 𝙋𝙖𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙣 (𝙎𝙈𝙈𝙋) for S.Y. 2025–2026 — individuals who became symbols of leadership, unity, resilience, and service throughout their journey as officers.

Through countless responsibilities, challenges, sleepless nights, and moments of uncertainty, you remained committed to creating a student community built on excellence, compassion, and genuine dedication to the Laboratorians. Your leadership became more than titles written on identification cards; it became a reflection of perseverance, passion, and purpose.

Every initiative you started, every event you organized, every student you inspired, and every memory you helped create will forever remain part of the story of PSU-LHS. You did not simply serve the studentry — you became part of a legacy that future Laboratorians will continue to remember and uphold.

To the officers of SMMP S.Y. 2025–2026, thank you for leading beyond expectations and serving beyond recognition. As you officially sign off from your respective positions, may you carry with you the values, friendships, and experiences that leadership has taught you.
