The legendary OPM band Parokya ni Edgar is officially part of Tanduay First Five 2026. 🎸🤘

From campus gigs in the ‘90s to sold-out arenas, this iconic group has been giving Filipinos anthem-level hits for decades.

Known for their mix of humor, heartfelt lyrics, and unmatched energy, Parokya ni Edgar has delivered timeless classics like “Harana,” “Pangarap Lang Kita,” and “Bagsakan”—songs that have soundtracked generations of OPM fans.

And now, the band is bringing all that magic to Gaisano Capital Mall Open Grounds on May 15. Expect sing-alongs, crowd chants, and the kind of nostalgia that hits harder than any hugot song.

Magpagaling at umuwi ka na please! (Na-iwan si Dindin sa Hawaii kasi he got sick mid-tour and needed immediate surgery...pero don't worry, he's recovering and doing fine and makakauwi na sya soon)

Kaibigan ko na sya mula prep (6yrs old pa lang) and we've been inseparable ever since (whether we liked it or not✌🏼😅)

Madalas kaming magka-klase nung grade school tapos pareho kaming Blue Babble Battalion nung highschool, tapos naging magkabanda na kami after...so wala talaga kaming choice hahaha
..and here we are today, magkasama pa rin kahit sa mga gala sa tour (tapos same village pa kami dito sa Alfonso✌🏼😅)

Palagi kong sinasabi na kahit hindi sya ang pinakamagaling na drummer, sya naman ang da best na bandmate.

Kumbaga sa basketball team, team player talaga sya...in and outside the band.

To give you a recent example, during the tour, I was cooking spam for breakfast (nasa Airbnb kami nun at maaga ako nagising tapos tulog pa sila lahat) and nag-tanong ako sa chatroom kung sino pa may gusto para isabay ko na sa pag-luto.

Bumaba si Dindin to help out. Sabi nya "sige ako na bahala" (nag sangag sya at nag luto pa ng eggs), tapos di naman pala sya kakain.

Yun pala masama na pakiramdam nya kaya di na sya makakain. Tumulong lang talaga sya mag prepare ng breakfast for everyone...tapos sya pa naghugas ng mga pinaglutuan.

That's how kind he is.

Tapos during the tour, sobrang sama na ng pakiramdam nya, may short break sya sa gitna during our 2 hour set (Harana Gitara), hihiga lang sya backstage at papaypayan ng staff para ma-relax, tapos sampa ulit after 2 songs to finish the set...playing as if wala syang nararamdaman.

Ganun syang klaseng kabanda.

Anyway, ang swerte lang namin sa kanya, bilang kabanda at bilang kaibigan.

Mabuti nalang talaga um-oo ka nung nagyoyosi tayo ng madaling araw sa highschool football field during "Days with the Lord", at tinaong kita, "Din...trip mo ba mag drums sa Parokya?"
