This World Mental Health Day, the PAP Social Psychology Division affirms that mental health is shaped by structural inequalities, power dynamics, and histories of marginalization. When social systems are unjust, a community’s collective well-being suffers.

A truly just approach to mental health must move beyond individual-level interventions and instead center on human rights, social justice, and systemic transformation.

Let us continue working together to challenge our ill-structured systems into spaces of dignity, inclusion, and collective care. Through empowered participation and joint responsibility, we advance the vision of a community where mental health is grounded in equal rights and shared humanity.
