Empowering tradition through innovation—MMSU’s Department of Materials Science and Engineering KERAMOS roadmap supports San Nicolas potters toward sustainable growth and global competitiveness.

The project is led by dedicated faculty from the MMSU Department of Materials Science and Engineering, headed by Engr. Rose Anne Butoy, together with Dr. Emie Mirasol, Engr. Louvie John Ruguian, and Engr. Joseph Allan Gamiao, with the support and guidance of Engr. Arlene Mia G. Ruguian. Through their expertise, they guide local artisans by sharing technical knowledge, research-based practices, and innovative approaches to strengthen and modernize the pottery industry.
