I was one of the participants who attended the Data Science and Analytics using R Programming on April 15–16, together with two of my colleagues from DepEd Batanes. The training was initiated by DICT Batanes, and it provided a great opportunity to explore a new programming language. I’m also grateful to have placed 2nd in the poster design activity!

​My background in programming made the workshop feel quite natural, allowing me to stay productive during the sessions. I even managed to finish Version 2 of the Records Management System while waiting for the presentations, multitasking ba.😅

​Big thanks to DICT Batanes and the speaker for creating such a valuable learning experience. Looking forward to applying these new skills and sana hindi makalimutan.🫣

Sana ganito na rin nung time namin! Grabe, nung high school kami, wala pa masyadong Career Advocacy programs na ganito. Sariling sikap at hula lang sa pagpili ng course, minsan nakadepende lang sa crush o kaya sa barkada! 😂

Looking back, I am beyond grateful to Mahatao National High School for giving me the opportunity na makapag-share ng experiences ko sa field ng Information Technology sa mga students natin. It’s a privilege to give back and help guide the next generation of Ivatans sa kanilang career journey.

I shared with them na kahit mahirap, I never regretted choosing IT as my course. If I were given a second chance to pick a career, I’d still choose IT over and over again. It’s a challenging but very rewarding field!

DAY 2 | ICT Preventive Maintenance

Day 2 of the Annual ICT Preventive Maintenance was successfully conducted at the Accounting, Supply, and Procurement Unit. The activity was made more efficient with the valuable assistance of our Work Immersion students, who actively participated in cleaning, checking, and basic maintenance of ICT equipment, gaining hands-on skills and practical knowledge in the process.

Grateful for the collective effort and teamwork that made the ICT preventive maintenance both successful and a valuable learning experience for our students.

ICTU- SDO BATANES Conducts Annual ICT Check-Up for 2026

The first day of the Annual ICT Preventive Maintenance for CY 2026 was successfully conducted at the Office of the Schools Division Superintendent, ASDS, Cash, Admin, and Records Office, where activities such as cleaning printers, laptops, and desktops, removing temporary files, updating antivirus software, and upgrading operating systems, among others, were performed.

This preventive maintenance ensures that all ICT equipment functions efficiently, reduces the risk of technical failures, improves system security, and extends the lifespan of devices. It also helps our devices perform faster and last longer, ensuring that the Division Office can continue serving staff and clients efficiently.
