On May 25, 2026, a meeting was conducted for the collaboration between the CLSU-Christ the Worker Chaplaincy and UGADO to plan a series of rosary-making lectures for the parents and guardians of GAD-CDC pupils. The meeting was attended by Sister Olivia L. Cancer and Sister Reynita Dela Cruz from the Chaplaincy, together with Dr. Mercedita M. Reyes and Ms. Loreta P. Sugue from UGADO.

The first lecture was held on July 20, 2026, in the morning session, with 21 parents attending, followed by another lecture on July 21, 2026, in the afternoon session, with 17 parents in attendance. The activity provides parents with a meaningful and productive way to spend their time while waiting for the pupils. Parents learned the significance of the Holy Rosary and gained hands-on experience in making rosaries.

The lecture is facilitated by Sister Olivia L. Cancer and is conducted every Monday and Tuesday of the Month until October 2026.

This initiative aims to deepen parentsโ€™ Catholic faith, encourage spiritual growth, and strengthen the partnership between the church and UGADO.

The University Gender and Development Office (UGADO), through the GAD Child Development Center, joined the University-Wide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill on June 18, 2026, demonstrating its commitment to promoting safety and preparedness among young learners.

Toddler and nursery pupils actively participated in the drill by practicing the โ€œDuck, Cover, and Holdโ€ procedure and taking part in an orderly evacuation under the guidance of their teachers. The activity introduced children to essential earthquake safety measures in an age-appropriate and engaging manner.

By involving even the youngest members of the university community, the GAD Child Development Center helps foster disaster awareness and preparedness from an early age, equipping children with basic skills and confidence to respond safely during emergencies.
