𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐘. 𝐄𝐑𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐎 𝐏. 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐋 (𝟏𝟗𝟓𝟑 - 𝟏𝟗𝟓𝟒)

He was born November 7, 1917, was the 15th provincial governor of Abra who served from 1953-1954. He graduated from the Philippine Law School, one of the pioneer law schools in Metro Manila and was admitted to the Philippine Bar on March 29,1947. A brilliant lawyer, he was the fourth child of Vicente and Zoila Parel who hailed from Vigan. Ernesto married Leonides Bañez of Bangued, Abra where he eventually established his own law practice. The couple had 12 children, 8 boys and 4 girls.
